Anovia– When Macadi Nahas steps onto a stage, the world seems to pause. Her voice—tender yet commanding—carries the scent of Jordan’s hills and the weight of its stories. She sings not just to be heard, but to be understood, crossing borders of language and culture to reach the human heart.

To some, she is the angelic voice of Jordan; to others, Macadi Nahas is the warm, unmistakable Jordanian soul in song. With grace and intention, she chooses her moments, her stages, and her repertoire, always guided by a higher calling: to carry Jordan’s heritage to the world through her luminous voice—often described as “Fayroozic” for its purity, warmth, and emotional depth, echoing the timeless charm of the Lebanese icon Fairouz.

“Jordan’s heritage is rich,” she tells Anovia. “As a responsible singer, I feel a duty to preserve and share our traditions and culture through the only means I truly know—my voice.”

Yet those who have heard her know it is not only her voice. It is her message. Even to those who do not speak Arabic, her songs communicates a deep compassion—for the vulnerable, for women and children in distress, and for prisoners of conscience in politically troubled lands. Her songs are bridges, carrying not just melodies, but truths.

Now collaborating with the celebrated Lebanese Rahbani family—most notably Osama Rahbani—Macadi is preparing to enchant audiences in Amman. Her journey as an ambassador of the Jordanian song has taken her across continents, with performances in Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Italy, Canada, France, and Belgium.

“What I cannot stand,” she confides, “is ignorance. I fight it through my songs, and every time I stand on a stage—anywhere in the world—it is a testament to people’s belief in peace over tyranny.”
