Anovia, AMMAN – Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Emad Hijazeen met with a high-level French church delegation led by Bishop Thibault Verny, Archbishop of Chambery and head of a Vatican pontifical commission.
The delegation also included Laurent Coiret, Secretary-General of the Regional Council for Catholic Education in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, and Cedric Bloquet, CEO of Bipel, a company specializing in organizing pilgrimages and religious tours.
The meeting explored opportunities to establish strategic partnerships with church institutions and pilgrimage tour operators to strengthen Jordan’s presence in the French market, reinforce its position on the global religious tourism map, and attract more pilgrims as part of preparations for 2030.
