
About the Founder & CEO
Rula Samain is a seasoned media professional and cultural advocate with extensive experience in journalism, editorial management, and tourism promotion.
She began her career as a journalist with The Jordan Times daily from 2005 until 2019, specializing in interfaith dialogue and writing on archaeology, human writes among others. Samain was the first journalist to cover the Petra Cathedral in 2013, a story that gained international attention till today, and the first to report on what is believed to be the world’s oldest church in Rihab, Mafraq, in addition to numerous pioneering features that brought Jordan’s cultural and religious heritage into the international spotlight.
In 2023, Samain was appointed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Jordan Tourism Board as spokesperson for the historic site of Mukawer in Madaba. She carried this responsibility with dedication, producing documentary recordings and short clips, and raising awareness through televised interviews and media appearances. Her efforts helped promote Mukawer as one of Jordan’s most significant Biblical and cultural destinations to local and global audiences.
Samain’s long-standing commitment to promoting harmony, tolerance, and peace was recognized in 2023, when she was honored as a Peace Leader/Peace Maker. She is also an accomplished author of several books, including the acclaimed book Fortress of Peace, which was translated into English and selected by the Ministry of Culture among the centennial publications celebrating Jordan’s 100th anniversary.
Beyond her editorial and authorial work, Samain is an alumna of the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies, a member of the Arab Thought Forum, and an active participant in the Orthodox Club, reflecting her deep commitment to dialogue, cultural exchange, and intellectual engagement.
Rula Samain is pursuing a PhD in Philosophy of International Affairs, a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Political Science.
