ISTANBUL – Oct. 22, 2026 – In a strategic bid to expand Jordan’s global tourism footprint, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Emad Hijazeen met today with Mr. Sinan Seha Turkseven, General Manager of the Turkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). The discussions focused on building strategic partnerships to boost inbound tourist traffic to the Kingdom and establish new marketing channels, amid a series of high-level tourism engagements taking place in Istanbul.

The meeting was held in the presence of Jordan’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkiye, Hazem Al-Khatib Al-Tamimi, along with representatives from the Jordan Hotel Association and the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association. Discussions centered on capturing a larger share of the Turkish market, launching joint tourism programs, and leveraging Istanbul’s status as a global aviation hub to tap into high-potential European and Asian markets. The two sides also explored deeper cooperation in digital marketing and the exchange of expertise in destination management.

Dr. Hijazeen emphasized that the next phase demands a shift from conventional promotion toward high-value partnerships that translate directly into increased visitor arrivals, longer hotel stays, and higher tourism expenditure. He underscored the critical need for alignment between governmental and diplomatic efforts on one side and the private sector on the other, aimed at enhancing Jordan’s overall competitiveness and cementing its position as a diverse, sustainable global destination.
